Our service is both informal and traditional. God's Word and our response to it is at the heart of the service. We hear God's Word and respond in prayer, praise, and music. We have communion the first Sunday of every month. A typical service normally lasts about an hour. Children are encouraged to take part in the service, even if they can sometimes be a small distraction. We want them to experience everything that is going on, including communion when we have it. We also have children's programing during the 10:30 worship service, where they can go and learn from Bible lessons taught in chronological order. We have a cry room available in case parents are more comfortable with that.

We firmly believe that church is a family, not a business. At Zion Evangelical Church you will find that people say they are going to pray for you, and then they do it! You will also find that we serve each other and our community, generously.

Most importantly we believe in the Bible, hold Scripture in the highest esteem, and try to live out our faith in a God-honoring way.

You can, for the most part, wear whatever you want (within reason!). On any given Sunday you will see some wearing a jacket/tie and dresses, while others are wearing shorts and t-shirts. We don’t focus on what you wear, we just want you to worship with us.
